Aimwell and Archer, two gentlemen from London hatch a plan to regain their lost fortunes by mustering their charm to marry into a rich family. Their plan seems perfect until Aimwell truly falls in love with the young and fair Dorinda, the lady he was supposed to be stealing from. Honesty is in short supply in the play as the two aren’t the only ones left to their own designs… An 18th century comedy, adapted to the roaring 50s, The Beaux Stratagem promises to be an intriguing game of wit and secrecy.
